Unit Reflection
In this unit, I read Introduction to Culture, Define American and Learn How to Make Cultural Identity Poster. And I also research The Iceberg Model of Culture and Culture Shock. In class, I drew the picture about the iceberg. And I also used the new tool to create the Cultural Identity Poster and share with others. I also learned something new that surprised me, my Aha moment was I understand what Ethnocentrism is! At first, I thought it meant homesickness. When I did a search and asked my classmates, I got the answer. That means the belief that the people, customs, and traditions of your own race or country are better than those of other races or countries. The bumper sticker for this unit is: The impact of culture on people. I don't know how to do a poster before, When I found a lot of production tools on Brightspace, I was surprised. I did not learn the technology in this area. I opened it one by one, chose the one that works best for me, and followed the tutorial step by step to do it. In the end, I completed the first poster in my life. Although the effect was not good, it was also a great attempt. I have learned a lot in this unit, and I believe it will be very helpful for me to understand American culture！
